Sean Hannity is an Angry Man

When I tell you that its hard to find a story worth writing about that is not related to our president, I mean it. During my weekly sweep for possible stories earlier this evening I could not find one, not one single story that did not have the word Trump somewhere in the title or mentioned in the article. For a few moments, I debated giving up and calling it a night. But I cant give up or give in to covering He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I will fight with every last brain cell of mine to not talk about You-Know-Who (unless of course he does something really crazy like last week).             It was at this point in the writing process where I thought to myself, What AM I going to write about? I sat in deep thought for about 5 minutes. So, if youre reading this feel free to pause here and go find a dog to pet or something and then come back Assuming that you have completed petting the nearest dog or finished doing something else...

Trump and Russia: An Update

If you recall, around a month ago I pledged to not write about Donald Trump in my blog with my reasoning being that the media already has a massive spotlight focused on the man and it would be unoriginal and pointless to add to that spotlight. My one exception to this rule of mine was that if something major happened in relation to President Trump, I would not hesitate to write about it.             Well, something major just happened in relation to President Trump. As I write this, about an hour ago CNN began reporting that according to US officials there was information that suggests that Trump associates coordinated with the Russians to release information to disrupt the election. The information in question was evidently used to damage the Clinton campaign and bolster Donald Trump during the election. This was done through a combination of fake news pieces designed to sway the average voter and the releasing of emails from Clint...

Ridiculous Tweets: Steve King Edition

Since my last article, a lot has happened in our country. In my effort to avoid Donald Trump related commentary for reasons previously mentioned, the happenings in the country since last week drastically decreased for me. This is of course because EVERYTHING in the media is centered around this phenomenon who is masterfully distracting the American people from everything happening in Congress and the shortcomings of his own administration. Picture a man on fire running frantically outside of a bank in the middle of a city desperately screaming conspiracies. Naturally, whether we want to or not, all of us in the crowd are going to notice this guy. However, while this ridiculous scene is unfolding, picture a group of robbers casually entering that bank and taking all of the money away. The clerks and guards of the bank have all rushed outside to witness the spectacle of the man on fire claiming that we are all being brainwashed by corporate drones, and in doing so the vault had been care...

Analyzing the Republican Healthcare Reform Proposal

Yesterday, the GOP presented their health care reform bill to the nation. The response was expected. Many Democrats instinctively opposed the bill because it was a Republican bill, while many Republicans automatically supported it for the same reasons. However, many did not actually analyze the proposal without the lenses of their bias. I will admit that I have a bias towards the left, but I am willing to concede, a trait not possessed by many on either side of the political pendulum. With that said, let us dive in to the complex pool of healthcare reform.             From the first reading of the proposal, I thought to myself, Wow. This sounds a lot like Obamacare. I may have thought this because of the very first sentence of the proposal which reads, The health care reforms outlined are designed to: Make quality health care coverage affordable and accessible for every American, regardless of pre-existing health conditions. Wa...

The Immigration Complication

One of the biggest issues facing our country right now is that of immigration reform. Whether or not you think that every outsider should be welcome here or that no outsider should be welcome here, we can all agree that the immigration system in our country is broken. One solution that has a lot of support is to simply deport the 11 million illegal immigrants living in our country. While this solution would require a feat of social engineering and lots of money, the major impracticality of it is the effect that the policy would have on the US economy.               Since about 71% or 8 million of those 11 million illegal immigrants work in the US, their removal from the workforce of our country would be damaging; to say the least. And seeing how many of the jobs that migrant workers fill (primarily farm and factory work) the foundation of our economy would disappear. Now, the most common rebuttal to that claim would naturally ...
